Class Sizes:
Scout: Used either for commercial, scientific exploration, or for military intelligence gathering and reconnaissance. Small, fast and light armor and weapons.

Escort: A ship assigned to protect merchant ships. Small, fast with light armor, with heavier weapons then the scout.

Destroyer: a fast and maneuverable yet long-endurance warship intended to escort larger vessels in a fleet, convoy or battle group and defend them against smaller, powerful, short-range attackers.

Light Cruiser: A light cruiser is a type of small- or medium-sized warship. Not much bigger then a destroyer, however it has heavier weapons and armor.

Heavy Cruiser: Their essential role is to serve on long-range missions, patrol for enemy warships, and defend commerce.

Frigate: Built for speed and maneuverability, faster and with lighter armament then cruisers, used for patrolling and escort, will usually have a small compliment of troops.

Carrier: Designed with a primary mission of deploying and recovering Fighters and Bombers.

Battle-Cruiser: They are similar in size to a battleship, and typically carried the same kind of heavy guns, but battle-cruisers generally carried less armor and were faster.

Battleship: Large armored ship with heavy weapons and armor.

Dreadnaught: The largest ship in the fleet. Maxed out armor and weapons.

All components will have Mass, Cost and a Component Value. There maybe other items to track. The sum total of all components can not exceed the computers Max Component

Computers are 1 type per class. It will have Mass, Cost and a Max Component. Everything else on ship is a Component.

Computers will have some small variants. 1) They will have 2 or 3 levels of Automation. The higher the level the more Mass it has and the lower the Crew Requirement will be. 2) There will be a Max Component modification that can be installed during construction this will increase the Mass and the Max Component. 3) And finally a Max Component add-on. This will be installed into a completed starship. The Mass increase will be more then the construction modification and will have a small increase of Max Component.

The tactical turn will have no phases. The turn is the turn.

We will start with the following Races: Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Orion, and Gorn. More will follow as time passes.

Warp Nacelles are for warp bubbles and warp speeds only. They will not generate any power.

The Warp Core and Batteries will be the power sources.

We will return to a Movement Point Ratio. This will be similar to the old system; however it will also affect your to-hit defense number.

We will retain the 6 Shield Generator arcs. However there will be 1 Shield Pool, this pool will cover the entire ship. Damage to the generators will reduce the pool max and maybe the power to shielding ratio.

Shields and ALL weapons will have 3 settings. Off, ½ Power, Full Power

We would also like to add in the 3D effect into the combat. Something like A2*B2=C2
Would like to add fighters and bombers into the tactical combat system.
